SUMMARY:Tri Tilghman - Phillips Wharf Environmental Center
DESCRIPTION:A unique way to explore the Bay Hundred area of Talbot County\, Maryland\, is the Tri Tilghman. This activity begins with a 3 mile kayak course that will start at the Knapp's Narrows Drawbridge\, through the Narrows into Harris Creek and back to the start. After that\, you will hop on your bicycle and complete an 8.2 scenic bike ride. Then cap off the event with a 3.1 mile (5k) run through the small village of Tilghman's Island.\n\nYou have the choice of participating in the entire event\, or to compete in any of the 3 challenges separately. \n\nAll of the challenges will start and finish at the new location of the Phillips Wharf Environmental Center. There will be plenty of post race activities for you and your family along with an opportunity to explore this little know gem of the Eastern Shore! \n\nSTAND UP PADDLEBOARDS ARE WELCOME THIS YEAR!!! You MUST supply your own SUP if you plan on racing on one. \n\nEvent details and schedule\n\nPacket Pickup begins on Race Day at 6:30 AM at Phillips Wharf Environmental Center\, 6129 Tilghman Island Road just over the Knapp's Narrows drawbridge on the left.\n\nOpening ceremonies begin at 7:45AM and the official start for the event will be at 8:00AM. We will provide drinks on site but we encourage participants to bring enough water to stay hydrated during the event and don't forget your sunscreen! Some of the bike course will be on MD Route 33 so please dress appropriately.\n\nFOR THE SAFETY OF OUR PARTICIPANTS\, ALL PERSONS SHOULD BRING A LIFE JACKET FOR THE KAYAK AND A BICYCLE HELMET FOR THE BIKE PORTION.\n\n* This is a rain-or-shine event.
