St. Michaels Just Got a Major Feature in Travel + Leisure — and We're Beaming

St. Michaels is having a moment — and Travel + Leisure is here for it. The renowned travel publication recently spotlighted our beloved waterfront town in a full travel guide, and the coverage could not be more fitting for the community we're so proud to call home.

The piece highlights St. Michaels as a destination where a slower pace is not just welcomed, but encouraged — "strolling along the waterfront, popping in and out of the nautical shops on Talbot Street, or tucking into a plate of fresh seafood" are among the simple pleasures the article celebrates. Our own harbor gets a well-deserved nod too, described as the heart of St. Michaels, offering stunning views and a glimpse into the town's maritime heritage.

Several of our beloved SMBA member businesses earned standout mentions throughout the guide, including St. Michaels Sailing Charters, Guilford and Company, Book Hounds, The Bench Goods, Ruse, The Crab Claw, Ava's Pizzeria, and Foxy's Harbor Grille — a true testament to the incredible businesses that make our community shine on a national stage.

As for when to visit? St. Michaels is a true year-round destination, but the town truly comes alive from May through October, when the weather is at its finest. We'd say that's a pretty good reason to start planning your next trip — or your next visit back.

Read the full Travel + Leisure feature and then come experience it all for yourself. We'll see you on Talbot Street.
