    Whatever you're in the mood for, St. Michaels can satisfy. Discover the diverse dining experiences and the mouth-watering dishes along athe way, and see why St. Michaels is changing the Eastern Shore's culinary scene.  We'll steer you on an exploration of Chesapeake Bay regional tastes, as well as offer glimpses of world wide cuisine. 

    A small town with a huge appetite, St. Michaels, Maryland is becoming a food mecca for locals and travelers alike.  St. Michaels offers it's visitors a memorable dining experience, thanks to an incredibly picturesque waterfront backdrop, and quaint restaurants in town.

    With the plentiful access to the bounty of the bay, our local cuisine is made fresh, sometimes just caught that day!  Maryland crabs and other seafood are the staples that bring us together, but there is also a foodie vibe to the bistros, cafes and eclectic menus that make St. Michaels a foodie destination.

    The St Michaels area is home to many unique restaurants and bars, and we even have a winery, brewery and distillery, making St. Michaels a foodies dream come true!

  • Let's Get Your Day Started! 

    First Stop:
    Visit several specialty shops featuring tastings of imported olive oils, aged balsamics, antipasti, gourmet salts and more. Ask for samples off the many varieties and flavors of fine infused olive oils and balsamics, and taste for yourself the difference of each unique flavor.   Once you decide on your favorites, make sure you grab recipes made from the things you try, so you can use the recipes to impress your family and friends at your next gathering or your next meal! 

    Second Stop:
    Shop along Talbot Street, don't forget the great shops off Talbot, on Railroad Avenue, Freemont St, Carpenter Street and the Historic Mill (you're headed there soon!), trendy unique shops, cafes and antique stores you won't want to miss!


    Third Stop:
    Enjoy lunch at a restaurant or cafe of your choice, in town, or along the water, there are many outstanding places to choose, featuring local regional seafood dishes, Italian, Irish, you name it!
     

    Fourth Stop: 
    Walk off your lunch by taking a stroll along the harbor, then up to Talbot Street, where you will find the Historic Mill between East Chew and East Marengo Street, and your next three stops. (you'll need to be over 21 for this part)


    Fifth Stop:
    Start your Over 21 Made in Maryland tasting at the St. Michaels Winery, located in the Old Sewing Factory.  Offering tasting flights to your liking, including whites, reds and sweet wines.  Their Gollywobbler line is a favorite of many, and new varieties are introduced seasonally.  Be sure to end your tasting with the favorite Chocolate Zin, oh my!  They also sell bottles, so you can take your favorites home with you.

    Sixth Stop:
    After your wine tasting, head next door to Eastern Shore Brewing, an award winning production brewery, meaning all of their beer is brewed on the premises.  All brews are crafted with the finest ingredients.  Their award winning brews will satisfy all craft beer aficionados, and offer a range of year round favorites, like their St. Michaels Ale, to their seasonal varieties, the Duck Duck Goose Porter. 

    After your flight sampling, they offer their brew in refillable growlers or take a six pack home of your favorite and take a little bit of St. Michaels home with you.

    Seventh Stop:
    Head down East. Marengo Street to find Lyon Distilling Company, in the historic mill, offering tastings of their boutique hand crafted spirits.  Maryland's premier craft distillery - dedicated to transforming raw ingredients (molasses, sugar, grains) into splendid liquor (rum, corn whiskey, rye whiskey) step by step, in ultra small batches, using traditional pot stills made in Kentucky, your taste buds will be happy you made the visit.  Lyon Distilling Company offers private tours with advanced reservations, so check their website for contact info.   
     

    Eighth Stop:
    Enjoy dinner at a restaurant of your choice, with so many top rated restaurants to choose from, with breathtaking harbor views, or romantic Talbot Street bistro cafes, you'll want to stay another day....or two!
