ABOUT NANCY HAMMOND:
Nancy Hammond is a painter who loves water life. Herons in the reeds, osprey in flight, sailboats on the water and more are all scenes from her studio and home on the Eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay.
A painting major from Rhode Island School of Design, Nancy Hammond exhibits her work year-round at Nancy Hammond Editions in the Annapolis Arts District. Her prints are giclee and silk-screened editions, signed and numbered on archival paper using archival inks. Her original works are produced with painted and cut colored paper, layered with watercolor and acrylic paint. Design is the added element in Nancy's work, which imbibes a contemporary tone.
The annual poster of Annapolis, signed and numbered, created a phenomenon. Now the annual Chesapeake poster, this tradition has lines forming outside the gallery door in the early morning of its release.
The Pop-Up Shop will feature original art and limited edition prints of all sizes and price points, as well as gifts with Nancy Hammond's designs. Gallery staff is available and looking forward to sharing the collection with patrons of St. Michael's and Talbot County.
